Animadoor Interactive installation
– The computers/the network/the media integrates more and more into our everyday life and our everyday objects. Technological gadgets have gotten smaller, cheaper and more invasive. Animadoor takes a contrary approach and creates a visible symbol in our physical, analogue world. The project title animadoor stands for: “ANIMAted Optical Illusion Automatic DOOR”. An automatic door is covered with white and black striped applications. Once the door moves these stripes overlap and create random pixel patterns and kaleidoscopic animation effects. These optical illusions are aimed at engaging passer-by and allow them to perceive the room from a new perspective. – 2015
